Your Build – Step by Step Guide
1. Choose Your Home
Select the unit or community model that best suits your needs.
Our team is here to support to make your journey as seamless as possible
2. Finalise Details
Discuss any custom requirements with our team.
3. Approvals & Finance
Check with your local authority and/or land trustees for pre-approval.
Apply for a home loan if required.
4. Place Your Order
Confirm your order and pay the deposit to start production.
Manufacturing begins:
Custom units: approx. 60–70 days form deposit paid to arriving to site
In-stock units: approx. 10 days if we have any generic units in stock
5. Building Consent
Apply for building/resource consent as required by your local authority or trust landowner by-laws., our architect is available to assist with ( T&C’s Apply)
6. Prepare Site & Foundations
Once your permit is approved, install piles/foundations to be ready for your units when they arrive
7. Delivery & Installation
Full payment of the kit unit value is required before delivery to site.
Your unit is delivered and placed on foundations.
An LBP Builder unfolds, secures, and connects the structure.
NZCP Engineer / LBP signs off the structural installation.
8. Internal Fit-Out
Trims and finishing by trained builders.
Kitchen cabinets installed.
Electrical, plumbing, and heat pump services connected.
9. Council Sign-Off
Council completes Code of Compliance (COC) approval. or by your LBP Builder if you choose to follow the new granny flat regulations process
10. Final Touches & Move In
Add your personal finishes, then enjoy your new home.
